Identity resolution
How a phone number, an email and a Wi-Fi sign-in all come together as one guest — matched on facts, never guesswork.
What is it?
Every time a guest interacts with you they leave a clue — a phone number from a booking, an email from a Wi-Fi sign-up, a device seen on your network. Identity resolution is how Stampede joins those clues into a single guest profile, one per business.
The matching runs on facts, not guesses: a matching phone number comes first, then a matching email, then a device recognised at the same venue. Stampede never merges two people on a hunch — and every match is recorded, so you can always see why two visits were treated as the same guest.
The guest profile is the centre of everything. Every booking, order and visit points back to it. Identity resolution is the moment a new sign-in stops being a loose end and becomes part of who that guest is.
Element features
A matching phone number comes first, then a matching email, then a device recognised at your venue. No guesswork — and every match is recorded, so you can see how it was made.
A phone number, an email, or a Wi-Fi sign-in. Each can arrive from a different place — a booking, a sign-up form, your guest Wi-Fi — and all fold into the same profile.
An anonymous walk-in who shares their details on a later visit has that first visit added to their profile too — nothing is lost.
A guest who also visits an unrelated business is a separate profile there. Their history with you never crosses over to anyone else.
Every match is recorded with the time, what matched and how confident it was — so "how did we know this was the same person?" always has an answer.
FAQs
From the floor
“We used to have the same guest in five different systems — bookings, the till, Wi-Fi, our email tool, gift cards. Now there is one Sarah M, and everyone on the team is looking at the same profile.”
