Consent and permissions

The profile records whether a guest has agreed to hear from the venue, by email and by text, and only opted-in guests are reachable by the marketing tools.

When you'd use it

Wherever data-protection rules apply, and to keep marketing to only those who agreed.

How it behaves

Each profile records the guest’s marketing permission per channel, email and text, plus a general data opt-in, each with the time it was given and captured wherever they signed up. Audiences and campaigns only ever include guests who have opted in to the relevant channel.

Because permission lives on the single profile, a change applies everywhere at once. Staff can opt a guest out of email or text from the profile, but cannot opt a guest back in: re-opting in has to come from the guest. The venue is UK-owned and GDPR-ready, and consent is tracked per guest and per channel.

Good to know

  • Consent captured anywhere (Wi-Fi, forms, sign-up) lands on the same profile field.

  • The reachable count for a channel is smaller than total contacts, which is as it should be.

  • Staff can withdraw consent but cannot grant it; opting in is always the guest’s choice.
