Programme types
Points is the primary way a Stampede scheme rewards repeat custom, shaped by earning modes. Venue and organisation memberships and surprise-and-delight rewards sit alongside it as alternatives.
When you'd use it
When setting up a scheme and deciding how guests should be rewarded: points that scale with visits or spend, a membership that carries its own benefits, or an unexpected reward at the right moment.
How it behaves
Most schemes run on points: a single running balance a guest redeems against a reward menu. You shape earning with modes that suit the venue rather than picking a template, and set their values.
The points unit is yours to name, so a balance can read as points, stars or beans, and a scheme can be scoped to one venue or run across the whole estate.
Points is the primary mechanism, not the only one. Alongside it you can run venue or organisation memberships, where belonging itself carries the benefit, and surprise-and-delight rewards, sent through workflows to reward a guest at an unexpected moment.
Earning modes and options
- Fixed points per visit
- Award a set number of points on each qualifying transaction.
- Points for spend
- Award points based on money spent, at a rate of points per pound.
- Points on sign-up
- Give a welcome balance the moment a guest joins.
- Referral points
- Reward a member for bringing a new guest in.
- Claim-only scheme
- A scheme where guests claim a reward by code rather than accruing a balance.
- Custom points name
- Label the unit as points, stars, beans or anything on-brand.
- Estate-wide or per-venue
- Run one scheme across the group, or scope it to a single venue.
Alternatives to points
Venue or organisation membership. Membership tied to a venue or the wider group, where belonging carries the benefit rather than an accumulated balance.
Surprise-and-delight rewards. Unexpected rewards sent through workflows to reward a guest at the right moment.
